Course aims

Adobe InDesign is one of the most advanced multi-page layout applications. This course shows you how to use its full power to create and deliver professionally formatted documents quickly, including advanced and special-character topics, the corresponding shortcut keys and more.

Learning objectives

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Work with InDesign documents and save them.
• Create text frames and flow text.
• Work with typography, adjusting letter and word spacing.
• Apply colours to text and objects, using advanced gradient techniques.
• Create and apply styles, and update styles globally.
• Create and apply table and cell styles.
• Use a library to manage objects, and use Adobe Bridge to import graphics, including into table cells.
• Apply transparency settings to text and work with effects.
• Print a laser or inkjet proof and use the Ink Manager.
